Mantis is a web application and API monitoring service that focuses on the user experience. Users define a set of instructions that represents the actions users (or systems) might regularly perform while interacting with a web application or API. These instructions are scheduled to run automatically at set intervals from various geographic locations, creating “synthetic” test interactions against an app. These tests produce metric data that users consume to visualize trends via graphs and to alert support resources when defined thresholds are breached.
How to use it?
- New teams should:
- Check out the Mantis Prerequisites
- Create an Application in Mantis
- Grant all appropriate teammates Application Role Access
- Create a Journey that simulates a business process
- Use Run Immediately for testing during development
- Use View Reports to review run results
- Create a Schedule to run your Journey automatically at set intervals
- Set up a Metric Federation Scrape Config in your team’s Metrix tenant, for long-term trending, graphing, and alerting
